miEdge Co-founder and Chief Data Officer advocates for NH Boys & Girls Clubs in Washington, DC

New Boston NH - Richard Lowney, miEdge Co-Founder and Chief Data Officer and his wife Lynda Lowney traveled to Washington, D.C. last week to advocate for the 31,000 children served by New Hampshire’s 13 Boys & Girls Clubs. Lowney is President of the NH Alliance of Boys & Girls Clubs. Lynda Lowney is also a long-time supporter, having served on the board of the Souhegan Boys and Girls Club.

Boys & Girls Clubs of America convened a consortium of thought leaders in Washington to discuss the crisis facing America’s youth, their communities and law enforcement. Boys & Girls club executives and youth members from 40 states participated in round tables, and meetings with a total of 80 Senators and 149 House members. Law enforcement and drug enforcement professionals also participated in the discussions.

With a Club in every Congressional District, Boys & Girls Clubs of America took the first step in establishing a public-private partnership to create an action-focused group that will build bridges in communities around the country where police shootings and violence have disconnected many youth; and drugs continue to destroy lives.
