miEdge CTO, Richard Lowney Teams with Laconia Harley Davidson & NH Motor Speedway to Reach Fundraising Record
"Most Money Raised for Charity in 24 Hours by a Motorcycle Parade"
New Boston, NH – May 31, 2013 Richard Lowney, miEdge CTO, is working with Laconia Harley-Davidson and New Hampshire Motor Speedway (NHMS) to create a new Guinness World Record for "most money raised for a charity in 24 hours by a motorcycle parade." The combined efforts of Laconia Harley-Davidson and New Hampshire Motor Speedway (NHMS) promise to make the 90th Anniversary of Laconia Motorcycle Week even more historic. Participants will have the unique opportunity to ride around the New Hampshire Motor Speedway track, continue on a police escorted, scenic 32 mile non-stop ride around the Lakes Region, set a new Guinness World Records title and most importantly, raise significant funds for the Boys & Girls Clubs of New Hampshire.
Richard has a long history of support and fundraising work for the NH Boys & Girls Clubs and continues his activism as a president of the New Hampshire Alliance of Boys & Girls Clubs. "Boys & Girls Clubs make a real impact on the lives of members and the larger community. Every day our staff of mentors, role models and friends creates a zone of physical and emotional safety that allows our members to become the best they can be, each in their own way. This work requires significant resources, and like many nonprofits, we have faced challenges in this current environment of economic uncertainty. This initiative, led by Laconia Harley-Davidson and New Hampshire Motor Speedway, has the promise to generate significant funds which can help sustain our Clubs and impact the kids that truly need us most," said Rich.
